Just Who Is Bro.Ken?
For those who come here looking for help in their brokenness,my assistance through email is FREE.
There are two areas to this ministry. 1. Helping individuals who seek help for their brokenness through the internet and 2. churches who wish to have assistance with events oriented to reahing the broken. There is a fee for assisting churches but it is nominal and generally offset by a simple love offering. If any individual finds comfort or hope in my assistance, they may if they wish make a donation to the continuation of this ministry on this or another page, but NO FEE is required.
I am Rev. Ken F. Sellers, Jr., a retired Elder of The United Methodist Church. When in prison with the KAIROS ministry my brothers-in-white called me Brother Ken. Once, without thinking, I signed something for them as Bro. Ken (brother Ken). When I saw that my signature said "broken" I knew that I was being prepared to have a ministry by that title.
I will be 65 in January of 2008. I am married to Judith, my high-school sweetheart and the best pastor in Southwest Texas - or maybe the world. We have five boys between us, three wonderful daughters-in-law (and another due in October of '08), one granddaughter, two grandsons and a grandchild-to-be coming next April. We share our home (well, really our property not the house) with two donkeys and one do.
From 1994 to 2007 I was a pastor in small churches in Southwest Texas. It was my privileged to be called to minister to the spiritual and emotional health of many. I really didn't enter the ministry with an understanding of the degree to which I was being called to help the sick of body, soul and heart. Through counseling of many varieties, being present to the sick and dying, praying with people of all ages, sizes and needs, and working the KAIROS prison ministry I have found that God is using me to help others find hope for healing where I found my hope, in God and in the Children of God. It is because of my healing that I find myself able to help others find their own.
I pray you will find something about this website that will bring you hope and comfort.
A Love Offering to support the ministry may be made from the Contact page.
